iPad2 possessed? Goodbye Music, Podcasts, plus apps not working.
I've had my iPad for a year now. Was just listening to some podcasts last night. Once I'm finished, I erase them. I had one that wouldn't erase, but listened to other ones without problems. Left player, and then came back in. It froze, and wouldn't play anything.
I cycled the iPad off, and then back on. When it came back on, all my music and podcasts were gone. 10 GB more space. All movies, pictures and such, gone too.
Turned it off again. Same thing. Now, I try to run some games, Angry Birds and the like. You see a blip of the welcome screen, and then it goes back to the "desktop".
Safari seems to be working, but I don't have wifi here to check it out on.
I wasn't on the internet, wasn't plugged into a computer, so no iTunes issues. Charged to 50%. I charged it to 100%, but no difference. I've Googled a bit, but didn't see anything that seemed like the problem I had.
Sorry if you've already tried this... But have you held the home button and power button together for 10 seconds to completely reset (not just powered off)?

I don't have any tips on the erased content, but I do have a tip about the apps opening and shutting. Happened a few times on my iphone. To get rid of that problem, go into iTunes and download a new app - any app. Or delete one of your existing app and re-download the same app.
After you reboot, the opening to the welcome screen and then disappearing issue "should" be fixed.
I've got very limited internet in CGK, and don't have iTunes on my laptop here. Will have to wait until in HKG on my connection, or in the US next week to see if I can try the delete/install option.

No wifi at my apartment. If I go out to someplace that does, I might give it a try. Wifi speeds here in CGK, especially free ones, are not on the speedy side.
I couldn't connect to iTunes in Indonesia. Managed to do a program update in HKG. It was funky, at first, only some programs worked. Downloaded some podcasts, and then everything worked.
