Chrome suddenly slow to start on Laptop
About two days ago when I start up the Chrome Browser is takes 5-8 seconds
after clicking on the icon before it opens. It use to be 1 or 2 seconds. After the initial slow start, subsequent pages and sites open up quickly.
There is a small screen that pops up in the bottom left that says " resolving proxy" right before it loads. I don't remember seeing this before.
My desktop opens Chrome instantaneously and I don't see the words " resolving proxy" at start-up.
This just seems to be a Chrome issue as IE opens up quickly.
I should add that the laptop is wireless through a router. The desktop hardwired through the router.
Any thoughts to help restore the start-up speed of Chrome on my laptop?

They have a page about resolving proxy issues here
http://support.google.com/chrome/bin...&answer=106010
and another page here (not from Google)
http://karuppuswamy.com/wordpress/20...google-chrome/
which may or may not apply.
Others have said clearing the cache has eliminated the problem, I would start there first.
Standard warning, don't change any of the network settings without copying what you currently have in case you need to put them back.
