Multi-port USB charger?

OK sorry for the above mystery post. I don't know how to "quote" using the iPhone app.
We have used two of the Semsons chargers, purchased through Amazon, for over a year. One is used exclusively for international travel to 220v regions.
They reliably charge an iPad1 + an iPad2 simultaneously (or iPad + iPhone). Small, compact with folding prongs, and lightweight. Paired with two of the 6 foot long charge/synch cables (also Amazon), this makes for a very versatile travel pack.

Anyone heard anything about when the 4 port version is going to be available?

I ordered the two port version a few weeks ago and had to speak to Scosche customer service about the shipping. I was told they had the 4 port version in stock, but that it was only available without the micro-usb connector. The shipments of the packaging including both the charger and the connector were evidently delayed.

Perhaps things have changed since I spoke to them if this combo is still not available.

I may have seen something at Walmart recently. I was in a rush so I didn't pay much attention to what it was but I'm pretty sure it was the same thing. I'll have to check next time I'm there.

Ordered mine on Thursday. Both the one with the dual cable and without are apparently in stock and shipping according to their PR firm.

Scott can you confirm which model?

I called their CA head office just now and they said only the older reVIVE pro h4 [4 Port USB Wall Charger (5 Watts Per Port) with Charge/Sync Cable IUSBH204] is available. The newer Revolt H4 won't on sale till the end of June?

Yeah, I was going to ask the same thing. Did you get the Revive (5watt/port) or the Revolt (10watt/port)?

Now I'm confused too Apparently I ordered the 4 port/5watt per port charger. I already have an xTrememac 2 port 2.1A charger for iPads, so this new Scosche will be perfect for charging 4 1A phones.

FWIW; this is the XtremeMac I use: http://www.xtrememac.com/Products/Ch...ome-for-iPad-/

It has dual 2.1A ports. Between that charger and the Scosche, I'm set. If only my Transormer Prime used a regular charger

I was just looking at the XtremeMac the other day. I really wish it had folding prongs. Still might pull the trigger anyways.

Less then $20 on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/XtremeMac-InCh.../dp/B003FVPWDQ

Edit: With prime shipping here too. http://www.amazon.com/XtremeMac-InCh...8856823&sr=1-1 (although looks to be out of stock at the moment)

I like your setup. Might have to copy it, at least until the 4 port revolt is released.

Chatted with schosche just now and here's excerpt:

Kelson: http://www.scosche.com/consumer-tech/product/2386

Kelson: The charger is in stock and shipping

you: so you have one with 5 watts per port but NOT 10 watts per port, right?

Kelson: Correct

Kelson:

you: the model you referenced won't work for iPad 2

Kelson: We do have a 10watts per port, but it only have 2 ports

you: OK, when will a 10 watts per port, with 4 ports be available?

Kelson: We do not have a 10watts 4 port in production

you: ok, thank you very much, good night

So I guess false alarm on the 4 port with 2.1A [10 watts] per port model?

Looks like the Scosche still isn't out

At least from their website, but found another alternative on DX- Not quite as clean, but at least it's multi country out of the box, and 5v/2.1 amps

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/univers...122934?item=24

Who knows, this one might actually do what it says and let you do more than one 2.1amp device at a time:
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/univers...69056?item=212

Doubtful, but possible.
Edit- check that- 4 regular devices at once, but not so much on a tablet + regular device....

The thread My Top 10 Travel Items (with a bonus or two) has some related discussion of multi-port USB power supplies, beginning at post #55.

Skiva PowerFlow QuadFire http://www.amazon.com/Skiva-PowerFlo.../dp/B008R97TOQ has four ports but 20W max -- still a lot better than your garden variety 10W for four ports. Getting a four port 40W charger would be the bomb but I have my doubts on the feasibility / size.

To compare http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5V-8A-8000...-/110838095930 this is how a 5V/8000mA adapter looks.
