Greetings,
I am an Associate Professor of Marine Science (Oceanography, Marine Ecology, etc) at a local College. I fly from ORF to mostly TPA,MSY,ACV,and ITO; flying one to two times per month.
I am a member of the ACLU and other pro-civil liberties/pro-constitution organizations.
While I tremendously enjoy CHOLULA with my Sauza, I still prefer Tabasco with my oysters!

I'm a CIO at a manufacturing company in upstate NY, CEO of my own consulting company, and going to RPI for my B.S. in IT & Psyc. My travel is primarily leisure - although there's a random business trip approx. once a month.

All I have to add to that is - CHOLULA...I want some CHOLULA!

Has anyone tried Cholula on Count Chocula? I know that people used to mix spice with chocolate in Central America. Hmm....

Uh

I work for TSA as a screener. I work at DIA, a class x airport that is rated #5 in the US for throughput. We are rated#1 in the country for customer service and #2 in the world. I have been with TSA for 2 years. Before that I was an IT specialist at the major players. Big Blue, HP, PB. Prior to that it was firefighting and mechanics and Police officer.

Hmmm

I am an a former airline brat, my dad worked for TWA in it's heyday from 1936 till he retired in 1978. I flew all over the world non rev and had a great appreciation for the people who made it possible.

I was a substitute teacher for many years and then thought I'd be patriotic and work for TSA at LAX. Ended up with a severely bum shoulder, surgery, and a bad taste in my mouth.

I travel during the year for pleasure as I can. I have been a lurker for a couple of years and keep up with the news on my employer. I have seen abuses of power and have seen lots of things that I really became upset at.

I too, love Cholula on my Red Onion tamales but have never tried it on my Cocoa Puffs.

Cliff's Notes

I've been a lurker in this forum for quite a while but only recently did I decide to make an account and join all the many amusing conversations that seem to go on here. Thanks to mandatory overtime at the airport I slept a dreamless 12 hours last night only to wake up extra early on my day off with nothing to do this early in the morning.
I've been with the TSA for a year and before that I worked as a forensic technician, and before that a mortician. That got a lot of stares from my co-workers when they asked what I used to do before this. Not much else to tell I suppose.

I'm a long-time FTer, logging on a month or so after this UBB's second incarnation. I went from being a 4-digit per year traveller to a 6-digit one in about a year. I've always loved to fly, but finding others who shared my obsession for air travel really stoked my fire to do more.

I'm currently finishing up my degree in Philosophy and hope to land in a law school next fall in either Chicago, Washington, New York or San Francisco. I left my job in journalism in May of 2002 after a great 16-year run.

Currently there is no Mr. essxjay. And just for the record, I am female. The occasional references to the contrary always amuse me because I wonder what the hell I've written such that other FTers come to a particular conclusion. I have one very sweet feline and have lived all my life in Portland. (Hi AdamK!) I love cooking, especially Thai, eating out and reading military history. I am an invertate chatterbox on the phone.

I've met 200-300 FTers in-person over the past 6 years and have e-mailed with dozens more. FT is one of the most special places I've every come across and I want to help keep it that way.

Nice to get to "know" some of our fellow posters here who are with the TSA.

Hey! This is serious!

I left my job in journalism in May of 2002 after a great 16-year run.

I spent 20 years in journalism.

Currently there is no Mr. essxjay.

I am happily divorced.

I love cooking, especially Thai,

I love eating, especially Thai.

reading military history.

I majored in history, with an emphasis on the period from 1914-1945. I am a World War buff who has visited Bastogne three times!

But mostly, she meets my prime prerequisite:

I am female.
