Advanced passenger info (api) and LHR terminal 4 merging with terminal 3

Is the new API for ba flights only or all airlines? There is a passport and visa check desk at terminal 3 which has not been manned for ages...are they doing checks now?

T4 merging with T3? What do you know that has escaped the rest of us?

API is a US requirement requiring info on passengers going to the US and is electronic. In itself, it has nothing to do with UK Immigration.

You've asked the same question in different forms in at least 4 posts, something which FTers may find confusing.

I've also responded to one of your other posts as your question there contained a little more info.

The UK has an API requirement and has had it for some time now applicable to at least non-EU persons headed to or transiting the UK.

Indeed, yes. The OP asked similar questions in several posts. In this forum, I assumed that s/he was referring to US requirements, wrongly as it turns out looking at his/her other posts.

I was intrigued about LHR T4 merging with T3. The logistics would be a sight to behold. In one of the other posts, the OP is apparently referring to BA flights moving from one terminal to another rather than terminals merging. See what I meant by confusing?
