In Safari, I see a question mark as well. In Firefox, I see nothing.
I know nothing about posting pics at FT, but it could be that to use IMG tags, you have to give an explicit picture address like JPG, or your hosting site might require pics to be linked in a specific way? (I hope some expert will chime in here.)
OK you got me - I ordered a VD25 and the 22" satchel in black. I used the GIFTY code and got 2 amazing pieces of luggage for around $115!
Thanks Till!

Seriously, the VD25 is such a fantastic piece. I had it in black first to go with my big 28" suitcase. But I loved the grey on my other items, so when I saw the great price on the grey VD25, I couldn't resist. Stacked on the VG22H the combo looks indeed badass, no other way to describe it.
Oh, and I got a jacket in practically the same color and a material that looks like ballistic nylon. The fashion devil in me that I thought was buried is coming up again. Sorry for the bad pic.

Congrats! And welcome to FT!
Let us know how you like the stuff once you get it. It would also be great to hear how you packed the satchel. I have yet to try it out and it would be good to know how others did it.
I'm actually more intrigued with the VD25 as I have a 6 day trip coming up that will take me to Europe and the middle east and I wanted one bag that could hold enough stuff, which could also possibly fly under the bag-check radar...
I hope to fit everything in the VD25 without it looking too full. If I can't do that, I will have to go to my Rimowa cabin trolley combined with either a less packed AirBoss or the Andiamo Satchel, which should look small enough I hope.
I will see what happens when the pieces arrive. UWantSavings.com already shipped the bags via UPS, which puts it at my house on 12/23.
When I traveled with my VD25 even super stuffed they let it through without any problem. The bag weighed 25lbs. Argh!
The satchel will definitely be small enough. It is within 45 linear inch limit. Very soft sided, too. Even the VD25 is quite flexible and soft.
Do a test pack at home.
There are two ways to deceive the check-in or gate people. Either have the bag between your feet on the floor or keep it half way behind your back (shouldered). When they ask you if you have any luggage you point to your bag and say:"No, I carry on." or "No, only carry-on."
Only problem is when they make you weigh it. For European and Middle-Eastern airlines that is not impossible.
I'm sure you're all dying to know what's going on with my Uwantsavings order, so here's the scoop: I never got the 24-inch Valoroso duffel that was supposed to be shipped to me, and now they don't have it anymore However, I have to say that Uwantsavings has really gone above and beyond what most stores would do in terms of customer service. They offered me a deal on the 28" duffel, which I turned down, so they ended up giving me a refund on the 24" and a discount on the 20". I would definitely order from them again (and no, they aren't paying me to say this!).
I have a question for those of you who bought the 28" duffel: How on earth do you not go over the 50-pound weight limit when the bag itself weighs almost 15 pounds? I find that I can pack a smaller, lighter 26" bag full and end up at 40-45 lbs, so I think the added weight of the Valoroso bag itself might put me over the limit. And I'm not packing giant textbooks or rocks or anything-- just clothes and liquids that can't be carried on. What am I doing wrong?
I think there are a few possible explanations (I don't own the 28" though).
1. I read on UWantSavings (not on the product description page) that the bag is useful for car trips and that makes sense to me.
2. Some elites on some airlines are allowed to check bags which weigh up to 70 pounds for free. *G on *A is an example of this. Lifting the bag off the conveyor belt could be exciting though.
AnalogMan, my 20" duffel came with a cable lock. I agree, it is a very nice lock- better than any I have received with other luggage.
BTW, I think you are right that the 28" duffel is more useful for car trips. That is the only way I could see myself using it- but I don't really take long car trips!
I received my order today (consisting of VD25 & VS22 in Black) and got the VS22 in Steel gray instead of the Black I ordered.
I sent an email to their customer service email address to resolve the issue. I also did not receive a couple of other items in the order.
What I can say though is the construction of these bags is top-notch.
Till - I think the VD25 by itself would work as a carry-on because it does "shrink" visually, especially the black. However, for a 6 day trip it would look quite full so I might be better served by using my black Rimowa Salsa Deluxe carry-on along with the 22" satchel, which would realy only carry my tech toys, a pair of shoes and a change of clothes.
What is your opinion of the steel gray vs. black? I kind of like the steel gray color but wanted the satchel (VS22) in black to go with the Rimowa.
jdlnmia, I'm sorry to hear that they screwed up your order, too. If you don't get a response to your email, give them a call-- they are overwhelmed and understaffed for the Christmas rush, it seems, and don't always respond to email right away. The owner, Jeff, was really good about straightening out my order and making things right. I hope you get what you ordered in the end!
Also sorry that they messed up your order. I am sure they will straighten it out. If your Rimowa is black and you wanted black luggage to go with it, that's the way to go. Me, once I saw how special the grey was, I ordered all subsequent pieces in grey which also made things easier. I think it is among the best looking luggage out there particularly due to that grey/blue color.
The VD25 does shrink optically, as several members have said. Mine was packed super full for a ten day trip (25lb) and it didn't get a second glance. The bag was so full it didn't flex at all.
I just received the black VD25. Mine came with the lock as well. For $63, this bag was a no-brainer. There's no longer a warranty, but I have never had any issues with any previous Andiamo luggage, and I'm certainly not expecting any with this bag either.
The VD25 is more rigid than the 22 inch satchel, but it is still has some 'play' to it. As Till mentioned, it should be fine for meeting carry-on requirements, at least in USA.
I'm still on the lookout for an Andiamo VD20, if I can find one for sale at close-out prices.
