Ummm...ok. Carbon footprints are a scam. All about redistributing wealth. But now we are venturing into OMNI grounds.

Hot Water Bottle?

I always carry a small nalgene water bottle (empty through security), usually to fill from the fountains. But I've had no problems getting it filled at airside coffee/tea shops with hot/boiling water when I know it'll be a cold flight, especially if I'm getting something else there anyway. Great for keeping hands/feet warm for a couple of hours. Combine with a lightweight fleece throw and you're golden . If you're really lucky the FA's might even give you a refill mid-flight.
