About Portable water boiler/heater in USA Carryon luggage
I checked TSA site and just called TSA (rep asked my name and typed down my question Gee!), web doesn't say if you can take a Portable Immersion Heater onto airplane. The rep said he did not have information on it and it is up to the security to decide if it is safe.
TSA website says kettle is ok,so tecnically electric kettle is included too. But
kettle is too bulky. Can i bring Portable Immersion Heater/boiler in US
domestic flights?
Has anyone done that before?
Thanks!

Yes, that's the type. Used to take them along, never a blink of an eye from TSA.
You may want to get one that's certified for both 110 and 220 volts.
Safe travels!

I've done it with no problem.
Just don't use a Samsung phone for this purpose.

My dad use to carry a larger water heater that basically looked like a very large/tall coffee cup. It was made of metal. This was years ago though.

My coworker started carrying one after a trip to LAS as LAS hotels don't have coffee makers in the rooms.
She hasn't stopped carrying it since. It's been a good 5+ years and she's never had an issue carrying it.

I've had no problems with a heating coil during transit. Some hotels so not like the use of heating coils but are ok with kettles.
