Would be ballistic on the sides, clear on the front and back, lined with plastic so that it's spillproof, zipper front, small pullhandle at the top.

The Sea to Summit bag is 8 x 4 x 2 inches, horizontal orientation with a leak resistant zipper and sealed seams, but lacks a handle. It does have a punched pull tab at the edges. Would that fit?

How big is that pocket? Especially width?

Actually, I went in intending to buy $10 worth of stuff and came out with $80 :/ The folding tote with piggyback pass-through strap was on sale. Their small hanging toiletry bag was updated in a more malleable and lightweight material. It is a tiny bit smaller than the one I have from several years ago.
Thanks. I see that there's a Muji at T5 JFK. I'm flying out of there tomorrow. I'll see if I can get to T5.

I use this.. a clear zippered bag. Durable. Cheap. Never a problem in security.

TSA or other countries? LHR, some middle eastern airports are very strict compared to the TSA.

I do! I do have advice.

Because of my background as a chemist (and subsequent chemistry teacher), I long ago learned how to everything-tight seal fluids inside of disposable/transfer pipettes. This video {http://www.smallscalechemistry.colostate.edu/Movies/Thinstems.mov} shows you how to do it, yourself, starting at about the 55 second mark.

All you need at your destination is scissors and you can pack as many pipette bulbs as you want.

Though the demonstrator is using thin stem disposable pipettes, any disposable (plastic) kind will work.

Hope it helps!

Good idea. I saw something similar recently online using drinking straws:

not get "lost" in the shuffle.

I ordered this online from there store. I finally received it after several weeks, but am disappointed. It's a nice bag, and will work well on domestic flights, where I usually don't have to take out my liquids because I have PreCheck. I'm afraid that in Europe that the black cloth sides of the bag means that it is not a "clear plastic bag," and it will not make it through security at LHR and other foreign airports. I'll know in about 3 weeks, but will be sure to have a ziplock available for the likely event that they say, "no."

I've never had a problem with it internationally.

Good to hear that. I'll keep my fingers crossed and post back in a few weeks, because it's really a nice bag.

Interesting, I had the same experience 3 weeks ago at Terminal 1. I thought the security guy was maybe new and a bit over keen but perhaps not. I was using the same clear toiletry bag I've used for probably 10 years, no previous problems anywhere in Europe, Australia, US or Asia. It's the middle one of this set - super strong and good capacity.

Sometimes if you're nice to the people at Kiehl's they'll give you a travel bag. It's the bag in this set. http://www.kiehls.com/Kiehls-Mens-St...=gifts-for-all

I've never had a problem with security anywhere with that bag.

Went back and forth through LHR in the past week with the Tom Binh liquid bag with the black sides. No one raised any fuss. It seemed completely acceptable to them. Relief.
