It seems to support the view that rolling is best, although Im not quite sure. Interested in peoples thoughts. Thanks.
1) I can't remember the last time I saw a FA have only one carry-on bag. Much less only have a "standard" carry-on sized bag.
2) I've tried both methods (rolling v. folding) and, for me anyway, folding is the way to go. Takes up less space, easier to unpack one-at-a-time out of the bag, easier to put back into the bag after wearing, etc.
3) The 8th picture in the sequence is, I suspect, intentionally deceptive.

I agree with point 2. As far as point 3, I wonder if it is because I dont roll and packed rolled items as well.

I frequently roll, especially when using a backpack. I usually roll 2-3 items together making a larger roll, with fewer wrinkles. It works better than folding, IMHO.
The other method of laying something in the suitcase bottom with parts of it hanging out, then adding more stuff and folding it all over is fine if you are going to unpack everything upon arrival. Not very useful if you need to get just an item or two out.
A variation is to put everything on plastic hangers, lay the whole pile in the suitcase, hangers on the bottom, sleeves and shirt tails outside the case, then fold it all in on top of each other. Advantage is hangers don't take up much room and when you arrive you just move it all to the closet.

Reason: spelling errors.
I've done both and prefer the way the stuff comes out after it's been folded. Rolling to me, well I may as well just take everything out of the washer, roll it into a ball, and stuff it in the bag, it will probably have less wrinkles. The space argument is silly, rolling or folding the clothing takes up the same amount of space, it's the empty space you need to control.
I also don't believe there are many women who would do a ten day trip with only two pairs of shoes in the suitcase, but that's just me

Trying to stick with the salient packing issues

I agree with the folding v. rolling. Rolling has never really worked for me and if anything seems bulkier. Having said that I might experiment next trip. I do know I am sick to death with the increasing amount of chargers/devices I seem to be carrying everywhere now.
In the old days she would have been on the centre pages of Playboy especially if you read her "Skydoll". As my old dad used to say "there are two kinds of women"...

If you flip through all the photos you will see that there are two methods. One is the rolling method. This is, as it is stated correctly, good for maximum space usage on longer trips. If you look closely at her clothes you will see there is not a single wrinkle prone item. No real dress pants made of wool and no linen, most of all no cotton dress shirts that require being folded. Of course, if those are your packed items and you want to take the maximum (look how ridiculously overfilled that suitcase is), this is the right method.
The second method is for trips that are shorter and where wrinkle-free is important. Here she folds. Smart woman! I guess that rolling over folding can gain about 20% of space with the right clothes. I prefer a combined method with the use of a packing cube for compression. In her case she probably uses her behind for compression when she sits on the suitcase so she can close it.
EDIT: I double checked the suitcase is expanded. CHEATER! At least she's pretty.

You can definitely see that all her clothes in the main slideshow are wrinkle-irrelevant - cottons, jeans, t-shirts, casual stuff. For this I don't see any problem with rolling.
there is no way in hell you can roll dress shirts or a jacket, obviously.
and despite the pics i have a hard time believing this could all fit, unless she is a size 0 (3 jeans, three dress pants, three sweaters, 4 dresses, 10(!) shirts, AND 2 pair of shoes?):

Instead, Ms. Poole tightly rolls everything, which also minimizes wrinkling. This suitcase will hold three pairs of shorts, three pairs of dress pants, one skirt, three pairs of casual pants or jeans, three nightgowns, three bathing suits, one sarong, three lightweight sweaters, four dresses, 10 casual shirts, six dress shirts, a clutch, toiletries and two pairs of shoes. She’ll wear the third pair of shoes, as well as jeans and a longer sweater.
You have been looking at different pictures to me then !
You mean she doesn't use the extension? For me it sure looks like it. In pics 7 and 8 you see the extension is not out. But in pic 12 you can see it is out. Or at least it looks much higher than just the volume of the top lid.
