It weighs something like 20 lbs empty which I think is very limiting as to what you could put in it given the checked bag limits. I also think it's insanly expensive.
I would go find a place that has one and try it out. Make sure it works the way you expect it to, as the power assist only comes on at certain times. It's range was only one mile, which may or may not be enough for a couple of long connections or whatever before it needs to be charged for eight hours. Make sure the electronics, battery, charging area, spare battery compartment and all that is not taking up half the bag.
I'm not saying any of those are negative things, just things to be aware of. When I first heard of this I thought it was pretty cool, but when I started looking at the specifics, it didn't do it for me.

I just looked at the website. It weighs 6.5 kgs, or about 15 lbs, and will run for 2 hours or 2 miles. It actually looks like an interesting product. I don't really need one for checked luggage, but I'd love one that was carry-on sized -- I do get tired of lugging my roll-a-board around airports. Unfortunately, both the soft-sided and hard-sided versions look a little too big for carry-on.
How much does it weigh? The Hybrid PA Bag weighs 8.9kg but this
includes a laptop bag and an overnight bag which can be removed
and used as hand luggage rather than checking into the hold of an
airplane.
That's where I got my weight number from, that's about 20 lbs. The power assist does not come on for flat surfaces, only when needed, so it would have virtually no effect on dragging a bag on flat airport floors, except you would be dragging the extra weight of batteries, motors, etc that aren't doing anything.
It’s designed to work on sensors in the
handle and in the powered wheels using torque, not speed, so the
first thing to remember is ‘be aware of the ground conditions’.
On a flat marble surface the power normally shouldn’t come on -
the anti-gravity handle should be very capable of making that part
of your journey effortless.

I must have read it wrong. Thanks for the correction. 20 lbs is a lot -- almost half the weight the allowance on most domestic airlines.
