A day on Skyline Drive

I'm briefly on the east coast and took today to drive the length of Skyline Drive through Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. Autumn color isn't yet at its peak, but still a lovely drive. Map

All spectacular.

South Africa is one of the best travel destinations on the planet, IMHO.

Had to shoot into a rising moon in the Sabi Sand region of Africa, but I think I like the effect anyway....Photo Stats: Nikon D5 / Rokinon 24mm 1.4 / ISO 640 / 6 seconds / f1.4. Image resized strangely, so its not a sharp as the original for some reason

Knitted pink bra I spotted out for a morning stroll in Copenhagen. There were a dozen strung on a line which I found out was to mark October as breast cancer awareness month. The card has the story of the breast cancer survivor who knitted it. Pictures sometimes can be worth more than a thousand words...

Each year we head to Africa for a Safari. Each year I come back with 18-20k photos. Each year there's something that leaves you wanting to come back.....Each time I post a photo the resolution gets destroyed

Great shot!

Regarding the resolution point: You should consider another photo sharing service. 500px is what I use, though it also does some compression.

OK, set it up. Not an easy way to get the URL, but I sorted it out. Still looks a bit grainy. Original is 1600px on the wide side. Perhaps time to play with image sizing again. Here is the FB version of the same upload and it looks much better there.

Hell, I can just bring it in from FB....duh.....and the difference is more than obvious! Still not as good as the original but FB's compression didn't cripple it too badly:
