The tulips are starting to open in the Skagit Valley an hour or so north of Seattle. I had a few spare hours today so I ran up for a few snaps. While I was in the area I popped over to Deception Pass, the narrow channel between Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands. Unfortunately I got there during slack tide; when it's in full flood or ebb the current through the gap is amazing.

Thanks. If your eyes rise, however, there aren't too many 12,000 foot mountains in the Netherlands.
