Is that in front of the Marriott?
I've stayed at The Westin and Aloft before but never really poked around the water front right there.
I did go down to the very end to Anza Fisherman's park to wait one day to watch my friend land on AF A380.

It is from the Marriott. The photo is actually much more detailed and better than it looks but I don't know how to make the link where you guys can click it and it expands. The original is 5472x3684 so I couldn't post it.

I tried blowing up the original image to find a tail number so that maybe I could identify the type, but no tail number is visible. It could be either.

While we are looking at TWA planes, here is one from 1984 looking out of a window at LHR.

If it's one of the two, I think it's a DC-8, since it doesn't have the antenna on the tail.
