Ala Moana Hotel, Honolulu on a NW VDB voucher.

Sheraton New Orleans, May 2005

View in my hotel room!

This was my very first stay as an HHonors member, but was apparently upgraded. Went up and found this! November 2005

The focal length of the shot should have been recorded in the EXIF data?
Here are the particulars from the Canon EOS Viewer Utility...

220.0 mm
1/400 shutter speed
F 7.1
ISO 400

I must admit - most of the time I let the camera figure out the exposure stuff.

I must be lazy.

Thumbs up Hotels' Photos

Anyone who has recently stayed at a Japanese hotel listed with INN 26 World Travel Guide - http://www.inn26.com is encouraged to share their experience and send their photos from there. Photos might be included in hotels' image galleries and thus be paid.

Thanks for sharing this one! I've been meaning to visit Athens on Hilton points, and this is real motivation to go.

This is proving to be a vibrant, yet refreshingly civil, community. Kudos to all contributors!

I've been meaning to join in the fun, so here goes...

View from Emperor Suite, Dolphin, Lake Buena Vista, FL

A "clean" view of Chicago from the Peninsula

View of artist lofts, courtyard and South Beach from Sagamore, South Beach

View of 2nd Ave from UN Millennium Plaza, Manhattan (With apologies to Andreas Gursky!)

View of "Big John" from Westin Michigan Ave

(BTW , these are my first tries at geocoding images, as I want to exploit Picasa's display of Google Maps based upon GPS coords in EXIF. I'm curious how people here like the blend of photos and maps.)

Speaking of the Edgewater Hotel......

As I opened the curtains one morning expecting to see the Seattle skyline, imagine my surprise to see this instead! Very big. Very close. Lots of people peering down. It's a good thing I was dressed at the time! (2004)

I love the dinky satcom antennas on the roof, look a bit small next to the nice big satellite dish though.

Views from the lanai of our hale on the lava flow at Kona Village, on the Kona Coast of the Big Island (Feb. 1994):

Many pleasant hours were spent here watching the humpback whales as they migrated past.
