Finally, a theme which lines up with my "hobby"! Too bad some of these are a bit shaky.

Yeah, I vaguely remember seeing that Sheraton monstrosity across the way.
Thanks for posting another perspective.

Welcome!
I see your photos are on Flickr. Why don't you join the FlyerTalk Group at Flickr and share more of your travel photos with the rest of us "hobbyists"? Would love to have you.

Thanks for the kind welcome. I am in the group, but haven't contributed anything to the pool... yet. I'll see what I can dig up...

Well, the 6 images in your earlier post above seem like worthy contenders for the pool. You could start with those
.
At any rate, come on in when you're ready!

This is a view from a hotel in Tokyo, the name of which, unfortunately, I don't recall.

Getting that Northern Exposure
We thought we would try to see Denali (AKA Mt. McKinley) after getting rained out last year staying at one of the Kantishna lodges during a week of rainy overcast weather.
We got one of the mountain facing rooms on the top floor at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge. Stunning view. Good service. Good food (really!). Excellent large room.
I used a Canon 20D with a 100-400 mm zoom. The picture is really a panorama of two pictures. I don't recall how zoomed out the lens was.

Very nice! No false advertising in "mountain view room".

The focal length of the shot should have been recorded in the EXIF data?
