Ah, the Tempozan Harbor Village Ferris wheel, claimed to be the world's largest.
Did you get some while it changes to different colors. Good shot!
Thanks for letting me know the name of the thing I did not know.
Yes, I seen it changing color. Took some photos the first night when I got in, just as well, as I had to attend a dinner the following eveninng, when I got back it was in darkness, it seems they switch off the lights at around 10 pm.

All right--finally uncovered my stash of photos from my trip Sept-Nov.
As a skyscraper lover, I was pleasantly surprised by the view out of our hotel window in KUL. Without even asking for it, I had a gorgeous view of the Petronas Towers from my bed. The view was so awesome that I snapped this photo with my iPhone, and it has remained my iPhone's wallpaper ever since.
I believe I have a much better shot with my regular camera, but this image is particularly close to my heart, since I see it all day every day whenever I look at my phone.

From a recent trip to Hawai'i and Maui. Each of these was an award stay - "island view", "resort view" or "mountain view" - i.e. whatever's left. All were upgraded to Ocean Front/View at various Westin's and Marriott's. Gotta love those hotel programs.
Hotel GrandPanorama Miramonti on Merano, Italy. Unfortunately our room didn't have this view but one could always visit this entrance for a prosecco ;-)
A guest house/dormitory I stayed in at the International Center for Theoretical Physics in Trieste, Italy. I was there for 3 weeks at a workshop and woke up to this just about every morning.
Apparently the Flamingo has decided that every square inch of their building should be used for advertising, judging by the number of ads plastered all over it. I would hate to be in one of the rooms behind Donny & Marie!
The Perfect Sunset, ok, strictly speaking, not the view from my room. I had to open the door to take the picture :-), but worth it. The Hotel is small boutique hotel that sits right on the beach. Absolutely perfect to relax.
