Why I love flying, in an image...
Thought this would be an interesting topic. Why do you love flying? In one picture explain.
For me, it's this:

Great topic,
Hartmann !
Why I love flying:
It's hard to tell
, but that's Mt. McKinley (Denali) underneath the wingtip. And that, in an image, is why I like flying - it provides you a grand and unique view of the world on which we all live.

Heh - another form of natural beauty. Perhaps I'll have to focus my camera inside the plane instead of outside next time.
Of course, on most US flights, it takes some time to find that "beauty"...

Watching oceans and climate change, not from models, data and and maps, but from the air.

Great shots! The glacier, the mountain peeking out of the horizon, and the ice below, all great examples of what makes flying great.
Yes, yes, origami from FAs is welcome and appreciated just as much

I still get a childish sense of amazement that these huge chunks of metal actually make it off the ground. And then wonder where everybody is off too, and why... I love watching departures and arrivals at airports!
