Ask to see all pictures from 1-2 recent weddings.

get the shape and size you desire. most people shoot 5x7 & 8x10, they do not fit wedding books well. consider getting 5x5 and 10x10. they do make books for that size. make certain the guy can shoot "square"

Just give an uncle a few disposable cameras and be done with it

I have seen some of my uncles photos, mostly his dog
