I recently changed from the Samsung Galaxy Camera to the Samsung NX Galaxy Camera....which broke....to the Samsung NX30 and really like it a lot.

Anyone else using a Samsung NX camera?

Recently got a Fujifilm X100T and loving every minute with this camera. So much fun and takes great pictures almost out of the box. Also like the fact that I can put it in a jacket pocket and only needs a small bag.

I've been thinking about getting on of these ever since they came out.

I've taken a lot of pictures lately with my 35mm lens, and I think it would work, for the most part.

Yes, I thought I would miss the wide angle/zoom I had on my old powershot but I have not missed it all (I did get the wide and tele lens attachments, but those are still pretty narrow compared to the powershot). Forces you to think about the shot more and the quality is fantastic. The only 2 things I would warn about this camera (not specifically to you but in general) is a) you need to have a grasp of basic photographic concepts (aperture, dof, iso, etc.) and b) not be afraid of reading a manual and navigating a gazillion options. I enjoy both so I dove right in!

I'm really after this one. Does it really fit in the jacket pocket?
I feel like I'm leaving my DSL back home more and more because of the size..

It had better be a roomy jacket.

It's not super-pocketable like a Ricoh GR. I just wear it around my neck slung a bit to the side. Out of the way but ready to slide into action at a moment's notice.

And is it true that start up time and auto focus time are really short?

I mean from watching something amazing to shooting with your camera, could that be under 4 seconds?

Never really considered that. Just for fun - whipped out the iPhone stopwatch to time it. Hit the power switch, pointed the camera at my dog - waited for autofocus and fired. 4 seconds.

I'm using a Sony DSC-RX100 III. It's small enough to fit in every pocket and I've been happy with it so far. Now, if only I had the patience to go through its operating manual to figure out how to properly use all of its features...

How about the Sony a6000?
My friend just got this one and I really liked the size and the picture quality. I am not sure about the (kit) lens though..

Had the chance to carry it around with me for the past 2 days.
It'a really good piece of equipment. My friend has the 50mm (fixed) lenses installed and they are amazing (f1.8). I think I made my mind!

Canon G7X just replaced my S95 after I took the latter to top of Mt Kinabalu and trekking in Nepal. This one will go to Inca Trail. Sold 7D and will get 7D2 in the next few weeks for the Peruvian Amazon. Prices for the G7X is simply too good here in Hong Kong right now. Exactly US$400 official import, about the same I paid for my S95 4 years ago.
