Very much appreciated and will help with some photos I'm planning on an upcoming trip. Were these shot from a tripod and remote shutter release?

No problem at all. Yes I used a tripod and remote release, the barrier at that particular area is around chest height. I took around 15 x 30 second exposures for each of the above and simply picked the best. I had the remote on interval, I recommend an interval / time lapse remote as opposed to a one click one shot type one.
Good luck with your trip! PM me if you'd like any more help.

I've heard that long exposure pics were essential for good pictures at night. But I never thought that you could get extroardinary results during daytime. (I'm a newbie in photography )
