Traveling with a dog NYC-WAS
I am going to DC for a week for work and my partner would like to come for a few days and bring our dog. Flying is not an option and he doesn't drive so no rental car. I know Amtrak does not allow dogs. Does anyone know if any of the Chinatown buses allow small dogs (we have a 14lb Jack Russell)?

No, even all the Chinatown bus operators only accept service dogs, and grudgingly at that. There's multiple accounts out there from passengers who were refused transport with service animals. I have personal (negative) experience with Yo bus.
I'd look into rideshare sites, or just check craigslist, where 'unofficial' limo operators peddle their services nowadays.

I do drive but I'll be there for over a week and have some long days at first so I don't want to leave my dog in the hotel for 10+ hours. I was hoping my partner and dog could join me later and then we'll stay the weekend.
