Dry Ice in Carry on.
We travel often with Gracie our 12 pound dog.She is on a frozen raw meat diet. Last trip I packed enough food for 4 days in the bottom of an igloo quart insulated drink jug. I filled the rest of the jug with dry ice, and screw on the top. Maybe 6 to 8 ounces. TSA agent spotted it in my carry on bag and asked about it. I said it was dry ice and dog food. Not a liquid.
He looked puzzled and went back to discuss with his supervisor. After researching they came back and told me Gracie could bring up to 5 pounds of dry ice in the cabin, on future trips.
5 pounds is a lot.
