FAA Grounds 207 Jets After Stuck-At-Full-Throttle Incident

A week after both engines on a small jet became stuck at full power as the pilots were trying to land, the Federal Aviation Administration issued an emergency order Thursday grounding the planes of that model until the throttle controls can be inspected.

The F.A.A. action followed an incident June 5 at Midway Airport in Chicago that involved an Eclipse 500, one of a new class of “very light jets,” with two pilots and only three or four passenger seats.
