Bloomberg: Airbnb Faces Growing Pains as It Passes 100 Million Guests

By any measure, the homesharing company is huge. So why is it having so much trouble selling itself to regulators?

Has anyone experienced some recently terrible Airbnb encounters? The last couple airbnb's I've stayed at have been completely horrible (no contact, no hot water, etc). Maybe just me...

Been pretty lucky lately but read horrow stories. Saw news about someone in New York City renting room out on airbnb and she got fined for every night room was rented. Some sort of code violation.

That is not a good experienced! How come airbnb became horrible. Haven't experienced any bad from them the last time I use their service was about 3 years ago. It's very disappointing that they are not doing good today.
