WSJ: The Ultimate Fast Track for VIPs at LAX

From The Wall Street Journal, Nov 18, 2015:

The Ultimate Fast Track for VIPs at LAX
A new private terminal would keep celebrities, or anyone else willing to pay, away from paparazzi and hassle

The photo of a celebrity, head down and sunglasses on, walking through a scrum of paparazzi and fans at Los Angeles International Airport is a staple of entertainment blogs and magazines.

LAX may make that shot much rarer.

Plagued by paparazzi disrupting terminals and security checkpoints, LAX is set to approve plans to convert a cargo office into a small new terminal that will allow passengers to drive into a secluded entrance, get screened by the Transportation Security Administration privately and be driven across the airfield straight to the stairs to board their flights.

Balance of article is here, but may require subscription.

Fees are expected to be $1,500-1,800 per person and anyone, including us mere mortals, will also be permitted to use the facility - upon payment of the fee, of course. Opening expected in 6-8 months.
