None of these should surprise anyone, except perhaps the drinking fountain button. I have never seen a drinking fountain on an airplane.

The survey also included airports, so I am guessing those are the drinking fountains in question.

You can argue every single part of the plane is dirty.

Hmm I know some planes have the thing where you can fill a cup with water. maybe they mean that with drinking fountain? or otherwise the water in the bathrooms? but i guess that's not drinkable.....

I absolutely hate these articles, they just pump fear into people's heads, scaremongering for views. You're going to be fine. Your immune system can handle it no problem, but keep pumping that hand sanitizer into your hand like your life depends on it.

Actually please stop. That's why we're seeing super bugs that are resistant to almost everything now.

I think I'd rather travel with germs than a CNN article like this

Here's another story with the same info presented a little differently: http://m.sfgate.com/technology/busin...an-6495720.php

It's a little more clear in this one that they tested surface on planes AND in airports. The drinking fountains and lavatory latches were in airports, not planes.

If I get a hot towel on the plane I usually wipe the tray table and arm rests after I'm done using it. I do it more to get rid of stickiness than germs though. A hot towel doesn't disinfect anything.
