The most luxurious on-board airline bars in the sky revealed

• Etihad Airways offers premium passengers access to The Lobby, a fully-serviced bar and lounge area
• Virgin Atlantic offers in-flight bars on all of their aircraft, though they are exclusively for those in upper class
• Korean Air's on-board Celestial Bar is sponsored by Absolut Vodka and boasts six signature cocktails

...The Emirates A380 Airbus' lounge is exclusive for business class passengers, and is stocked with fine wines and spirits, such as Woodford Reserve American Whiskey. There's even a dedicated bartender on board to whip up your favourite cocktail

its interesting airlines have expensive champagne, but not expensive liquor, even though liquor lasts (after opening)

maybe liquors arent bought in bulk as much, so dont offer the same kind of bulk discounts champagnes do

Had the pleasure of flying business on the Emirates 380 from Auckland to Sydney. The bar is fantastic. Like a private lounge. Beats anything else I've ever seen aloft.

I agree. I wish they had some nicer American whiskies on board. (Although I did have some pretty tasty Cognac in SQ Suites.)

EK has Hennessey Paradis ($500-$600 US a bottle) on their A380 flights. I like cognac, so I'll definitely be having a glass or three.

LH has Johnny Blue but no in-flight lounge. EK also has Johnny Blue and the big lounge in back is for F and J. They also have a bar area in front by the showers for F only which is stocked with Dom, Paradis, Johnny Blue and all the rest. I suggest being served in your suite though, don't bother with the lounge or bar
