I guess Texas got what it wanted:
Terms of the agreement include a commitment for AMR’s American Airlines to maintain a hub at the Dallas-Fort Worth airport and keep its headquarters in Fort Worth. The settlement also calls for the carrier to retain service to 22 airports in Texas...
I doubt many of the thers can be bought off so easily.
