28 inch seat pitch on Airbus 321
http://www.seattlepi.com/business/bo...er-4109313.php
"fitting 236 seats in one plane would require trimming the seat pitch -- the distance between a point on a seat and the same point on the seat in the next row -- to 28 inches"
Woo-hoo!

Seems my above post has been quoted.

Just to let you, dear reader, know I'm not ..., here are some cabin photos:
Yes, 8 abreast on a 767.
What is even more unbelievable was that the seat pitch and configuration abreast was highlighted on a full-page ad in one of the U.K. daily paper's Sunday magazine. The plus side of that truth in advertising exists.

In fairness to Seatguru, rolling the mouse over individual seats does offer a much more accurate description (no recline, 28-inch pitch, smallest offered by a domestic US carrier).
Is there any carrier anywhere in the world that offers less pitch?

Seatguru needs to do a little updating. In the 'more info' section for these seats, they point out that the seats don't offer the significant recline of lie-flat and flat bed seats (DUH! They don't recline at all!), but (!) 'they still offer excellent space and comfort'.

They have put two aisles into a single aisle aircraft. But the overhead bins are still configured as for a single aisle aircraft. How are the passengers supposed to be able to use the overhead bins??

LOL, you're right! I guess they expect passengers to need only half the bin space since half will either die from DVTs/PEs or will go insane and jump out the windows mid-air.

Seat pitch is not about who manufactured an aircraft but rather how certain airlines have decided their aircraft orders need to be configured. Airlines are equally capable of putting too many seats (for passenger comfort) into an Airbus (EADS), Boeing, Bombardier, Embraer, Tupolev, Mitsubishi, or Comac manufactured aircraft.
