‘Prince’ of Sealand, World’s So-Called Smallest Country, Dies

Prince’ of Sealand, World’s So-Called Smallest Country, Dies

It seems His Highness took over ab old artillery platform outside of GB territorial waters and declared it an independent nation. I remember seeing a story on Sealand way back on 60 Minutes. The Wiki article is quite amusing.

From the article: Sealand also has its own flag, passports, currency, and national motto of “E Mare Libertas,” which is Latin for “From the Sea, Freedom.”

OK, fess up, who has a Sealand stamp in their passport?

If anyone's interested in very in-depth history of Sealand, here's a pretty cool (long) law review article: http://illinoislawreview.org/article...e-rule-of-law/
