Carriers Try To Manage Passenger Comportment

http://www.washingtonpost.com/nation...d67_story.html

One passenger's freedom of expression can be offensive to others. Airlines struggle to define and enforce boundaries.

Southwest is known to be more conservative than other airlines as far as dress goes. I'm sure she would be OK on any other main line carrier, and flying out of LAS of all places.

That said, the woman has no fashion sense, and she is probably plenty old enough to have acquired some by now. Personally, I don't want to look at giant boob spillage. Yech!

Is this the way to get a non-refundable ticket refunded? Show up at the airport wearing something legal but unacceptable to the airline, the airline will refuse boarding. Wouldn't the airline have to refund then?

Knowing Southwest, they probably wouldn't refund the fare, they'd issue a voucher instead.

Not funny to us maybe and yea it's a bit weird, but it would be hilarious for him to watch everyone 's discomfort. Else it's just a guy in a bikini, it's not harmful and maybe not socially acceptable, bit it always brightens up my day to watch someone go out of there way to break social conventions.

Really? It usually just makes me roll my eyes that there are more attention whores out there that just want to make a scene.

The man, DeShon Marman, was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, battery of a police officer and obstruction after refusing to leave the plane on the captain’s orders, according to police. Police have also said he injured an officer while being taken into custody.

US Airways said Marman was arrested not because of his clothing, but because he refused an employee’s request. Marman’s lawyer claims that his client, who is black, was a victim of racism.
Ah, the good old race card and not because he was violent or disrespectful to staff, nope, had to be because he's black!
