Bangkok Airways Airpass - Where to book?

I am making my first trip to Thailand (YEA! ) here in a couple of weeks, and since I am looking to go to Siam Reap, I want to book a Bangkok Airways airpass. One cannot book one online, nor can one book one in Thailand, so I must use a travel agent to get one before arriving in Thailand.

I have contacted a few to see, but they are unfamiliar with the booking process...and I am stuck. Does anyone have a preferred travel agent who is familiar with this program and can assist me?

Many Thanks!

PG seems to have a representative office in HOU, if you can find out who it is as their crappy new website won't let you access it.

Managed to load it in Opera. Try:

City OfficeToll Free : 1 866 BANGKOK
Fax : (713) 626 1905
Email Address : hou@bangkokairwaysna.com

3050 Post Oak Blvd, Suite 1320, Houston, TX 77056, USA
New York

It really is very simple, no travel agent required

1) Go to the Bangkok Air website
2) Find the number of the Los Angeles office, hint it is a toll-free number to connects to Bangkok Air's call center in India. Actually, it is the 866 number posted above
3) Call during Indian working hours. That is night for us in the U.S. and Canada.
4) Tell them you want an Airpass, be prepared with alternatives (remember you need a minimum of 3 segments) as Airpass is capacity controlled
5) Book the tickets. You should receive an e-mail with the total price. Taxes and fees are extra.
6) Go to your bank and get a money order or bank check
7) Send it to the Houston office
8) They will send back the tickets

YMMV since they now have e-ticketing. Since you want to go to Siem Riep from Bangkok, consider AirAsia www.airasia.com since I believe they now fly the route. Pay on line with credit card and get e-ticket.

A good idea but it appears the only route offered is KUL-REP. PG still seems to hold the BKK-REP monopoly.

YVR, you are correct. In fact, on the Bangkok route, it appears that PG is the only option. Discovery Airpass is the best deal if the OP can get his dates. Note to OP, a throw-away segment at the end of itin. will work. Also routing PNH-REP-BKK works as well.

Smile Silk Air

How about going on Silk Air (Singapore Airline's carrier)? My husband and I went last year in December and flew from Singapore RT rather than from Bangkok.

I just booked my Discovery Pass over the phone yesterday by calling Bangkok Air directly at 866-226-4565. I believe that they are located either in Chicago or NY, I'm not sure which. It was very easy. I chose my flights and faxed over a credit card authorization form, and had my e-ticket in under an hour.

I finally got mine as well. They are located in India, but they keep US business hours. If one is paying with cash or check (like me), you go into a Bangkok Airways office (they actually have quite a few stateside. The one in Houston is part of an airline center, where several airlines like Kenya Airways, Zimbabwe Air, etc. have offices) and paid, with the eticket to follow. If one is paying via a credit card, you can fill out a form and fax it back, but I was having problems with the processing so I just went down the street and paid. Done deal, and the mentioned "travel agent booking only" is unnecessary.

When I booked my airpass a few years back, it came from an Bangkok Airways office in the Empire State Building. No idea, though, where the phone agents were actually located. The whole process was pretty painless.

Bankok Airlines Discovery Airpass

OK, This was so easy. Called the 1-866-Bangkok number at 8:30am Arizona time and talked to a person who took our names, the flights we wanted and within 30 minutes I had an e-mail confirmation, a link to paypal and I was set. I have all my coupons and I'm ready to go. So easy.
