Smile Where to stay in Krabi

Hi all,

My fiancée and I will be spending about 2 weeks in March 2015 in Thailand for our honeymoon. We're planning to spend about 4 days in Bangkok and the remainder in and around Krabi for rest and relaxation. We are thinking of doing 3 nights at Ritz Carlton Phulay Bay and several more nights at a different hotel in Krabi. If any one can recommend a top hotel in Krabi that is nearby to restaurants, shopping and beaches we would really appreciate it!

Many thanks,
Josh

Rayavadee, without doubt. Try to stay at least four nights, and take a spa, hydo-pool, or terrace pavillion for the best locations.

Most guests eat at the resort, just as you will at Phulay Bay, but there is a lot of variety. Barbeque dinners at the Grotto and Thai food at Krua Phranang are delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful.

One doesn't really go to Krabi for shopping, so plan to do that in BKK.

Lightbulb Nakamanda

Hello,

Congrats on the upcoming honeymoon.

A few months ago I stayed at the Nakamanda in Krabi; it was wonderful. Not sure it will have all the foo-foo that a RC will have, but the intimate setting combined with incredibly attentive staff made for an exquisite experience.

Regards,
DirtyDan
