From other posts, I understood that as a paid C passenger transiting through Bangkok I oculd make use of the Spa (although not all spa services which are for F). But i was just on the Thai Website and came across the following saying C class passengers have to pay a charge (my underline). Can any one clarify?
thanks
Royal Orchid Spa
Our Royal Orchid Spa at concourse D, Level 3 is primarily catered Royal First passengers with full ranges ofservice including Gym Room, Foot-massage and traditional Thai massage (only neck and shoulder). Our highlight is 3 Spa Suites with Jagucci and Tropical rain fall that passengers can relax themselves in a tranquil atmosphere. However, Royal Silk passengers may use such facilities, subject to space availability, with an extra charge to be made. http://www.thaiairways.com/Travel_De...es/default.htm
I think that information is old. Before they opened the spa I think that was their plan but changed it when it actually opened to giving C passengers the free limited massage while F get the full range. I've never been charged anything.

Hi oranjemakker,
A little is lost and confusing in the translation.....
First class passengers can do it all, in short they are spoilt rotten,
Business class passengers are only half spoilt with either foot OR neck and sholders, followed by a pot of ginger tea and a snack. HOWEVER, if you are travelling C and would like the full treatment, they are saying to you, that subject to space availability, you can, BUT at a price.
If your next question is how much, I do not know, but on the scale of what massages are at the top of the range hotel and spa establishments in town, I should imagine it's going to be around 2500-3000bht.
I have used the full treatment only twice, thoroughly recommend it, you do need to allocate some time and if travelling first, there are even other distractions such as food, wine and checking out the other inhabitants. regards and enjoy the TG hospitality, bkkrop.
