Bassinet seats

Trying to get row 11 on the 787s for 2 pax. But unfortunately only the bassinet seats are still available but only selectable at the counter check in.

I have rung TG in bkk but they said they can't assign the seats even though it's 48 hours from departure.

Any other ways of obtaining those seats?

why would you like to have the seats with the bassinet? are you travelling with an infant?
if not it is normal that they keep those blocked as otherwise they would have to move passengers from there

As the name says, those are for people who need a baby bassinet. Families with infants will highly appreciate having it.

Just wait until check in.
But be aware that in worst case you have a crying infant next to you during the entire flight.

You can consider booking exit row seats

Row 11 is the first row of business class, with the bassinet being in the middle. They'd be my least preferred choice of seats. Do they have double the leg-room?

These pictures show the footwell size difference.

The link is broken (for me at least, but easily searchable via google) but I agree - that would make a huge difference to sleeping comfort. Sort of similar to SQ's biz product where the bulkheads have unrestricted foot room.

That would probably tip the balance for me to choose row 11 on TG's 787s, outweighing the galley light and noise.

You can google 'ausbt Thai 787' (the source in the link above) and it will bring you to the original article.

ok thanks!
i uploaded the two Pictures, bulkhead and normal seats. Actually the footwell of the normal seat (which is already larger than J on other Airlines) is sufficient for me

Your new link to the webpage is fin, but the jpg returned the following error:

Error 1011
Access denied
What happened?
The owner of this website (media2.ausbt.com.au) does not allow hotlinking to that resource
