Until then, one daily service is old, one new.

No, they don't distinguish between 77W and 773. Sorry for any confusion.
The best way to determine the specific type when booking on TG's website is during seat selection. Even then the actual aircraft on the day can change.
My 773 for TG628 today turned into a 772 at the gate. Fortunately we had 14A/B so no need to move us around, but another pair were separated until FA and a volunteer arranged swapped seats.

They do distinguish... the designation '777-200/300' (written in exactly that format) = angled flats, '777-300' (in exactly that format) = full flats. But they don't use 77W or '-er' to distinguish. If you do a dummy booking for say BKK-MEL on 29 June you'll see the above designators, with the TG465 full flats and the TG461 as angled.

Just flew TG465 today with a massive delay of almost 5 hours. We were all at the gate and at exactly departure time of 00:15, they announced that there is a delay and next announcement wil be at 01:30.
Right engine cowlings were up and looked like they were replacing something. Boarded at 01:50 and taxied around airport until we parked at a remote stand opposite our gate A3 at 03:15 with an announcement that they needed to check something and expected to take 30 minutes. Finally pushed back at 04:20 and took off around 04:45.
Only a little snack post take off and then a full lunch. Old angled seats. Assuming they would rather fix it at BKK than at MEL.

As an aside, not sure I could have coped with massive delays after an 'on-time' LHR-OSL(SK)-BKK-(HKG)-ICN.
