A380 J class seat choice
hi all
I am flying to BKK from LHR in Sept, I will be travelling with my father in law.
we have currently reserved seats in the middle together.
I am a bit worried they are too close together 17e and f, we are both 6ft 2
could any one give me any better seats to choose, we would like to be able to chat but not lie on each other
cheers

if in J, well in the honeymoon seat E and F it is not the case that you lie on each other but it is pretty close. I would not like to sit next to a complete stranger unless it is a very pretty lady but a relative I would probably not mind...
otherwise I would recommend A and D or G and K but they are across the isle and you need to talk with a rather loud voice to understand each other

You can only chat for a limited time on a plane, you will sleep for much longer. It's better to be comfortable for the latter.

Depends on your relationship with the in-laws.
Some might say the further the better.
But I agree to this
Wouldn't D/G be better than A/D or G/K??? since center and side are not aligned. And I'm pretty sure that A/D are not separated by water.

E and F will be fine, your height makes no difference and these will be the only combination where if you want to chat you can do so without annoying all the other passengers around you. There is also no privacy in the aisle seats.
In any event Thai have a habit of moving people around just before the flight and if you are on a joint ticket you might well end up back in E and F anyway.
