TIP Luggage priority
Here is a question:
I flew HKG - BKK a few days ago in Y, one of the first row, flight arrived almost 45min delayed. Whilst waiting at fast track (BOI), some VIPs were escorted to a counter which wasn't open until someone was ushered and they were processed before me. No biggie.
Actually I have been in the queue for quite a while already (say 5/10min) and it was one of the C gates so it was quite a walk. By the time I got to the luggage belt, it wasn't even turning yet. Waiting about 5min before the belt came on and a few minutes later, two individual rimowa luggages were spewd out and Lo and behold, grabbed by the porters with these TIPs.
I then waited another 15-20min at least for my 'priority' luggage which was no.2 that came out.
So question is - how were they about to just send out the two TIP bags way in advance of everyone else's

When living in Bangkok I occasionally saw TIPs being managed on a 'faster track' system than others in a fast track line - including simply going to the front of the fast track line I was standing in and cutting off 2-3 others ahead. Lots of smiles and excuse me from the attending staff. I expect that not too much has changed in the past 13 years (or longer).

welcome in the land of smiles and TIPs!
can happen that you have highest Status and J ticket on a J/Y only flight and then you arrive in BKK, waiting for luggage and first 10 minutes 40 or more bags with F tag for a small group of half a dozen TIPs (guess they did not have to pay for overweight), then belt stops and 10 minutes later the luggage of us normal guys Comes.
of course the whole process takes much longer as they have to sort the luggage first...
just smile and be happy that you get the mercy from those people to be able to enter their country

I suspect the bags were specially handled and stowed separately from other passengers bags for ease of recovery from the aircraft.

On several occasions NRT/HKG-BKK TG F we'd get to the carousel and after waiting the bags would start to come out. One. Bag. At. A. Time. This was for F, for anyone not in forward cabins/statused well, I can't imagine that.

When we checked in at Milan for our MXP-BKK flight in F two years ago there was a special employee who was responsible to personally deliver the luggage to the plane.
On arrival in Bangkok our Bags were already placed next to the belt when we arrived. - after a max of 5 Minutes being whisked through the airport.

I was once at LAX when a thoroughly distasteful Australian independent politician pushed to the front of the long immigration line and demanded to be processed first. So I was particularly pleased to hear that he was barred from entry to the US several weeks ago. What goes around comes around.
TIPs get reincarnated as dung beetles.

traveled with one of the so-called "TIP's" once. cutting the immigration lines didn't feel special at all, just felt like eyes looking into me from behind with anger as i cut the line. at the baggage carousel, could hear people complaining to the officer about how our bags came but theirs didn't. wasn't a good experience.
