Online check-in seat reservation

Would anyone be able to reserve a seat for domestic online check-in?
Recently, someone posted a comment regarding he/she cannot change seat during online check-in. For domestic flight (where advance seat selection is not possible) would anyone be able to select seat during online check-in?

I could change seat today on an international during online check in (24 hours previous to flight). So it is certainly also on domestic flights possible.
on domestic flights they assign seats according your status and preferences (plat, gold in front); then you can change

seat reservations for domestic flights are only possible within 24 hrs before departure and online only (or up to 48 hrs if you check-in for an international flight from somewhere else and connect onto a domestic flight....
Advance seat reservations are not and have never been possible for domestic flights, neither by travel agent, TG-office, or online...nowehere
