ZRH-BKK last week was excellent. Attentive FA and excellent purser(?). Chose the Thai dishes for both services . Delicious.

Ha ha, seriously, I am not kidding, it was a long piece of hair jutting out from her chin.

Flew BKK-CMB last night on a 772.

I know the plane is old but cockroaches at the bulkhead?

The smoked salmon starter was great but the main course was terrible.

Some noodles and I could taste the strong flour taste.

My hot towel remained on my armrest throughout the flight.

Yucks

Were they serving the cockroaches or were these leftovers? http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/27/health/cockroach-milk/

you think you have already seen the worst...
but then last week in J the guy across the isle had a special meal, kosher and it came in a very cheap looking paper box, cold and they just threw the box on the guy's table, he opened it and start to eat with the plastic cutlery kept inside the box. It looked just awful and out of mercy 3/4 through the meal the FA offered him a glass of water to flush down the horrible stuff
while I was eating quite a nice starter with duck liver followed by a tasty braised chicken with some good French wine
looks like some FA was anti-Semitic...

The paper box and cutlery kept inside are to ensure that there is no contact with non-kosher items. The paper box encloses the entire meal in addition to other packaging. In years past the TG FA would ask the passenger to break the outer seal first to verify that the entire package had not been exposed.

Not fair because SIN is the only major airport in Singapore, but from a service perspective you can argue that SQ would treat short flights such as CGK or KUL "domestic."

If you would like to compare SQ CGK or KUL flights with TG. You should compare with VTE or PNH or RGN flights on TG which they are also short regional flights.

Short regional flight is not domestic flight.

the only common pattern between short, regional and domestic flights, whether on TG or SQ is, that I am not expecting much...

You are missing the point... for SQ there is no such thing as a domestic flight. Either way, some domestic flights, e.g., SYD - PER on QF have better services with full flat beds in J than short regional flights within Asia on SQ or TG with slanted beds.

You are missing my point, I know that SQ doesn't have domestic flights so we shouldn't compare their services with domestic flights on other airlines.
