ZRH BKK showing 777 300?

I am just about to book a J ticket from ZRH to BKK and it shows 773 as the equipment. Is this the ER 777 with new flat J seats or the old 2-3-2 J product?

Do the dummy booking and you will know when you are selecting the seat.

TG website often displays the aircraft as 777-300 when it is in fact 77W. In fact, I don't think the website ever says 777-300ER.

I wouldn't worry about 773...while it maybe flew to a few routes to the very east of Europe...like ATH and Moscow, I don't think it has the range for ZRH.

I was at the TG office on Silom and asked which of the configurations this route used. She pointed to the ER version of the layout. Was considering the flight myself!

true.

afaik the difference is between the 777-3AL(ER) with the same quality of the seat as per Airbus 380; and to the enhanced quality with colors and finish, and entertainment system which is to be found on the 777-3D7(ER).

those 777-3AL(ER) are HS-TKK ~ TKR,
those 777-3D7(ER) are HS-TKU ~ TKZ (as of today mid FEB16).

i think to understand that "AL" means basically aircraft leasing (not specifically denominating the leasing firm), and "D7" is Boeings customer code for Thai Airways.

the first bunch comes from a different set of contracts than the second bunch.
i guess?

thanks for some more details...and I get the impression that the allocation to different routes is pretty random. Yesterday on one of the AL type BKK CNX

I love my flights between BKK-CNX. I always book the wide body flights then like to make a wager with myself as to which actually shows up and then the product within that one.

Now that would be a sight! I have perfect take off viewing from my apartment balcony off Huaykaew Rd between Maya and Kad Suan Kaew.

I did a dummy booking on 923, the evening flight and it shows 777 300 with 2-3-2 seating in J. Is that the really ancient 160 degree angle seats?
