ZRH BKK showing 777 300?
I am just about to book a J ticket from ZRH to BKK and it shows 773 as the equipment. Is this the ER 777 with new flat J seats or the old 2-3-2 J product?

I wouldn't worry about 773...while it maybe flew to a few routes to the very east of Europe...like ATH and Moscow, I don't think it has the range for ZRH.

afaik the difference is between the 777-3AL(ER) with the same quality of the seat as per Airbus 380; and to the enhanced quality with colors and finish, and entertainment system which is to be found on the 777-3D7(ER).
those 777-3AL(ER) are HS-TKK ~ TKR,
those 777-3D7(ER) are HS-TKU ~ TKZ (as of today mid FEB16).
i think to understand that "AL" means basically aircraft leasing (not specifically denominating the leasing firm), and "D7" is Boeings customer code for Thai Airways.
the first bunch comes from a different set of contracts than the second bunch.
i guess?

I love my flights between BKK-CNX. I always book the wide body flights then like to make a wager with myself as to which actually shows up and then the product within that one.

yes indeed; I have been on this route on all aircraft types, incl. 747, 787 except the A380...
