Travelislife: I have a reservation in August and the seatmap shows 1x2x1. On the 359 I believe Thai is installing the Solstys product that is in their 380s. The 2/2/2 are the B/E Aerospace Diamonds installed on their 787 and regional 777. Do you have other information?

the latest photo shows the "old" angle flat seats on the 747, 772, 777-300 (there are two different but very similar seats on those planes)
the A350 will have full flat J seats
the A350 will have full flat J seats

Yes, this is the 787 seat. Not sure the model of the older ones, might be a Zodiac based on the reading light. Anyway the configuration of the cabin is different for these 2 types. The Diamond is 2x2x2 (or 2x3x2) and the Solstys is 1x2x1. Is that your understanding on the 350? 1x2x1

You are 100% correct that Thai is putting in the same product as their A380's and 77W's on the A350's. And because your flight is in August that is what you are seeing.

In all seriousness that is a 'how long is a piece of string' question. Unfortunately there is no publicly available information about the progress. Until it is delivered I wouldn't trust anything we read!

Reported progress (as of May 28) on the final assembly line of TG's first, HS-TSB ...
http://www.abcdlist.nl/a350f/a350f.html
Current deliveries are numbers in the low 30's. Latest active is #35. TG's first is #44. Their second in line is #50, also on final assembly. Third and fourth on order are #95 / #111.
I'm booked on TG466/461 in October, which are definitely showing as A350-900.

I'm making no assumptions whatsoever. My only mention of deliveries was "Current deliveries are numbers in the low 30's."
As anyone can see from the data on the first link, as of today's date - assuming the information is correct (updated May 28) - some planes in that range have been delivered, some haven't. So it's pretty obvious that they don't get delivered exactly in order. However almost every plane below #30 has been delivered, and NONE above #35 have (including TG's). If you have data contrary to that, let's have it.

.
Speaking to Australian Business Traveller at a meeting of Star Alliance airline CEOs in Zurich, Charamporn indicated the delay would mean that after one month of regional A350 flights from Bangkok, the simultaneous twin A350 launch on the Melbourne-Bangkok route would likely take place in September

"Another part of the platform: arrival gates at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport would now be as close as possible to immigration. “Before the gates (seemed) a little more random but we have managed to work with airport authorities so now it has to be right near immigration.”
Distance from the gate to immigration is a minor issue, compared to the plane parking a mile from the gate and pax having to take the bus ... as happens way too often for TG at its home airport !
