Latest THAI scam - V and W on Fullflex
As most of us know, the majority of Star Alliance airlines do not credit W and V fares on THAI domestic routes. If we needed miles on other frequent flyer programs, we could always get a semi-flex or full-flex ticket and pay the few extra dollars for Q fares or something similar.
Lately, however, even THAI full flex is now W or V. That means there are NO domestic economy flight tickets that earn miles on the most popular Star Alliance airlines.
If only THAI were as competent at running the airline as at cheating its passengers!

Hmmm, after doing some dummy domestic bookings it looks almost as if THAI has introduced three kinds of domestic fare :
Early Saver (W class)
Economy Fully Flex (W class)
Business Fully Flex (J class)
Yet Expert flyershows the usual range of economy fare classes.
If I added in a SIN-BKK-XXX, then the range of fare choices expanded out to:
Thai Saver (W Class)
Thai Saver Advantage (Q class, 3 months)
Thai Advantage (Q class 6 months)
Thai Flexi
I wonder what is up?!

I noticed the same thing. I was going to fly CNX-BKK a little earlier on A320 and I saw Full Flex assuming earning miles. Thankfully I checked and saw it would be 0% to UA so just taking the next flight in J on 777.

If I look at BKK-CNX/HKT - there are domestic fares in W, V, Q, H, M, B, Y
Only BKK-USM is Y only. Can't find anywhere that is W or V only. But they have increased range of fares offered in W & V. If the TG website do not give you the option, chat to a TA.
