THAI USA call center closed [10 November 2015]

Tried calling THAI's US call center at 18004265204 and it just connected me to a full voicemail box. I guess the number is gone?

I emailed [email protected] two days ago for a seat assignment and they got back to me same day in a couple of hours. Will miss that convenience if it goes away. The signature on the reply was:

THAI AIRWAYS INTERNATIONAL P.C.L

222 N. Sepulveda Blvd. Suite 100
El Segundo, CA 90245
Reservations 1-800-426-5204 or 310-640-0097
Fax: 310-640-8202
Open Hours 0830-1700 Pacific Time (Mo-Fr)
Email: [email protected]

You might want to try the local number or emailing them instead.

I take it you can correspond with them via email for seating assignments on a business class flight (UA award) from AKL to SIN thru BKK?

They're great, always respond very promptly during business hours.

You can also use this link to select your seats if you have your six character THAI confirmation:

http://www.thaiairwaysusa.com/en/Man..._Booking.page?

If you do not have your TG confirmation you can call UA and get it.

I just tried again, it works today, both the 800 and the 310 number. Not sure what was happening last Friday, might've been a one-off phone malfunction issue but had me scared given they are cutting service to the USA soon.

Ironically, several times I have spent 20 - 30 minutes on hold waiting for someone at the TG BKK reservations number to pick up, then gave up, phoned the 800 number in the USA and the agent picked up immediately!

The US Call Center has always been terrific. I hope they keep it open, even though they are canceling their flights to the US.

Perhaps you should ask to have your thread title changed so no one else is misled.

I agree. They have been very helpful to me re TG intra-Asia bookings.

A good idea. I have taken the liberty of making such a request.

The TG LAX office is open M-F 8:30 - 5 pm, Pacific time.

I would advise against phoning late Friday afternoon though. I called yesterday at 4:40 pm and received the message that I was 4th in line with a wait time of 8 minutes. I waited until 5 pm, and was then automatically removed from the wait list, likely because everyone had decided to go home for the weekend.

So what number should those of us in the United States call for reservations service?
