I just took TG for the first time a few days ago and was looking forward to checking out the TG lounge when I depart BKK until i saw this thread haha

Which lounge is recommended in BKK? Now I'm leaning towards the SKL

I dare any one of you to spend 20 minutes in the Vietnam Airlines lounge in Hanoi without seeing a rat taking a stroll between the cushioned chairs I can only assume are their homes.

While I haven't seen one degust the buffet offerings, their juicy appearance suggests they are quite well fed from other sources.

Their juicy appearance might suggest they are future buffet offerings.

Degusting indeed.

looks like this is going to be the longest and weirdest thread in the ROP forum for a long time!

If you look around a bit, you'll probably see some of the traps.

The lounge staff reaction was priceless though, 4 or 5 passengers standing watching Mr Roaches antics and one of te attendants whipped the cover off of the sandwiches, grabbed him with a serviette and put the cover back on and rushed out back. Straight away another passenger who knew nothing of the visitor went to get a sandwich, we advised him not to - sandwitch plate was never removed until emptied. I know, this is Asia but surely modern food hygiene practices would have filtered into BKK premium lounges? Got me thinking, what ARE those hot dogs made from? It's going to be a few hungry flights for me

It does not matter, because most TG flyers have been "smile'd" away from the lounge.
What does that mean?
Haha, there seem to be a number of people who do not know the connotation of the word "smile'd away".
