THAI's BKK Departure Fast Track

I know that theoretically THAI's departure fast track at BKK isn't for ROP Gold (even travelling on TG), but I have successfully used it many times. But now I haven't used it since Jan 2015 (as I went on another airline). The question is anyone travelling in economy on THAI and have ROP GOLD can use the fast track at BKK RECENTLY?

There is nothing "theoretical" about Thai Fast Track being limited to Royal Silk, Royal First and Platinum members, unless you are one of about 20,000 TIPs traveling in Economy who seem to be able to access it at will, and get escorts (for all the advantage that provides...namely, none)....so Noppasit, if you have recently lost your TIP status then maybe you should not bother trying to access Fast Track.

Do you just check in at the ROP Gold desk around the corner on aisle B and then brazenly walk around to aisle A and march up to security, flashing your gold toothed smile and hope they will let you use the Fast Track channel? I don't begrudge you your joy at doing so, I am just curious how you managed to get away with it so many times in the past when you obviously do not qualify to use this benefit.

And yes, MSPeconomist wins the watch......! TIP = Thai Important Person.

I am always amazed, but not surprised, at the number of Thai people, flying Economy, with no visible sign of Platinum membership, who use the TG Fast Track.

I am even more amazed about the number of Thais without Gold or Platinum membership with economy ticket using lounges and flying in premium seats!

Thailand also has a unique definition of "important".

really?
I would say in China, "important" is defined by money in 99% of the cases; in Thailand maybe 80%? Exceptions: some people famous from TV and formerly rich HiSo, who lost all or part of their wealth
And is "important" in USA and Europe really so much less defined by money?
Maybe with the exception of politicians as politics is not so much a business there like in Thailand

The real difference in Thailand is in how "important" people are treated or expect or even insist to be treated

I would suggest TIP is not defined by money, but by connections...

Yes it is true. I also know the reason why I can use the fast track, but I can't tell you.

The last time I went through the departure fast track, there was a group of Chinese speaking people on economy tickets in front of me. Guess they were not all Platinum members...

THAI's BKK Departure Fast Track

Cruisin' through fast track
My ticket's in Y
Ain't VIP nor TIP and
Got no status with Thai
It only takes
A three letter word
B.O.I.

Maybe the Chinese Y passengers were BOI or had APAC?

nice fast track poem, hco!

not sure whether guys with BOI privilege use TG's fast track or like Thailand Elite, premium passengers from other airlines or with paid fast track services the Premium Lane
anyway a good advise if I loose my Platinum status at TG to get through fast track; will keep this in mind!
