you will not get a fast track pass but you can go through TG fast track at immigration opposite to gate D4. Keep the boarding pass ready if they ask

Newbie questions
I'm due to take my first flights on TG in November (London-Bangkok-Yangon).
I am a *A silver member (through United Mileage Plus)...does that mean anything to TG?
I am flying Economy (A380 and A330) and have reserved some seats but quite far back...the more forward ones all seem to be taken (unlikely) or blocked (more likely I think). Will there be a larger selection of seats available at check-in?
Is there always a vegetarian option served in Economy? Or do I have to request a special meal?
I will be in transit in Bangkok...any advice/tips?
Thanks!!

I advise to check 24 hours before departure with iCheck on TG website, whether better seats are available. You can change seat without going through whole electronic check in process
UA *A Silver does not really give you VIP status on any other *A carrier

Is there any way to check a booking class (fare) code? I have checked on manage my booking but it just lists the eTicket number without any indication of the booking class code.
I've also tried checkmytrip but that doesn't provide the answer either.
On a possibly related but potentially entirely different note is it possible to check a booking on Thai via another *A member website? For example, it is possible to check a booking (and often change seats) for a BA booking on other OW alliance member websites.

Hi,
I am travelling from HKT to PEK via BKK in J (award booking) next year. Does Thai offer pre selection of meals for J pax from BKK to PEK? Kept getting error message on their website. I did some research and some blogs claim this is not available for award bookings.
My connection time in BKK is 1hr 25 mins, will this be enough to connect and visit the lounge?

1hr 25 is sufficient for domestic to international incl. lounge if you check in in HKT as international passenger and go through immigration in HKT

Looking at booking an F award booking (using UA miles) from BKK-NRT/HND in early November. Currently the flights are on different versions of the 747 (the overnight flight has the updated version at least on seatguru)
But I've heard TG frequently changes the plane, is it possible the plane on this route gets changed to one that doesn't have F? I've heard of many folks getting bumped down to J from F and having to fight to get back on F when it changes to a plane with F again. Thanks.

recommend real good F experiences on TG are currently possible on the A380 longhaul flights to LHR, FRA or CDG. on the routes to NRT and HND TG has indeed frequent airplane changes. So maybe better save the miles and just book a J award

KUL (C) to HKG (F) via BKK
I just bought TG one way ticket from KUL to HKG via BKK. I can't buy F all the way since KUL to BKK does not offer it. I wonder will someone meet me upon my arrival at BKK gate and escort me to the lounge? The ticket (P) class which is for first, also showing 50kg luggage allowance, but I am sure I am entitled to 50kg? When I check in at KUL, since my next leg is on F, I wonder will they honour my 50 kg allowances?

About check in and seat availability, I often find what's shown on screen and what's at the airport can be quite different, again, no harm in asking. Maybe you will get a better seat if you asked nicely, worth a try.
With regards to vegetarian meal, you are really much safer in requesting (a few days before, not at check in!) beforehand. Usually the two choices of meals in economy are meat.
Transit in BKK is super easy, you need to worry at all. It is a very modern airport with good signage, lots of shops and good places to eat as well. I see that you are transiting to Myanmar. That means international transfers international, that's even easier, because it's all in the same section of the airport. If you transfer to domestic destinations, that's different, you need to get to a different part of the airport, but all clearly indicated and easy to find.
