I am Arriving BKK from LHR in first class with connection to Phuket (in business as first class is not sold for that flight) 3 hours later. Does immigration and custom clearance happen at BKK or Phuket, and will I have access to the first class lounge on arrival so that I can take a shower before moving on?
Access to F lounge on the way back if you fly BKK LHR again in F

Correct, you won't have access to the international departures area and there are no arrival lounges. As the only showers in the domestic terminal that I'm aware of are in the PG Premier lounge, there's no shot at a shower short of leaving the airport.

Hello, i'm on TG475 BKK-SYD(1 ticket) and want to continue on Virgin Australia(VA) to AKL-RAR same day as arriving in SYD.
I see that TG has interline agreement with VA but will this work when it's going to be 2 separate tickets to check in 1 bag at BKK all the way to RAR(Rarotonga)?
One thing i read on VA webpage is "You must check in at the airport via our check-in counters. We do not currently provide Web Check-in for our international services."
Does that mean no chance for staying airside in SYD?

If you can collect your VA BP in transit at SYD, then if TG checks your bags through - great. If not, you'll need to need to collect bags, enter Australia, and check-in with VA. I'm not sure you'll get a definitive answer on this question.
Irrespective, I think it will pay to review how much time you have between TG475 arriving and your departure to AKL on VA and satisfy yourself that in the event you do have to collect bags, enter Australia, and check-in with VA you have ebough time.
I presume you have time in transit at SYD readily to hand. Others here will have a better sense of how long the land-side turnaround will take at SYD if collecting bags and checking back in.
If on the NZ codeshare, looks like the worst case is you'll have 2:30 to complete the process if needed.

Hi,
I was wondering about connecting at BKK between Thai Smile and Thai. We need to buy tickets to go from Surat Thani to BKK and then we have an international flight out of BKK (to Frankfurt, if that matters). The Frankfurt flight leaves at 11:45 pm. There's a flight on Thai Smile that arrives into BKK at 8:40 pm. So, two questions:
1) Is 3 hours enough time to connect from domestic to international at BKK? We'll probably have checked bags.
2) We can buy the tickets on either the Thai Smile website or on the Thai Airways website. It's an extra 450B if we buy on Thai; would that buy us protection in case of a misconnect? Thai Smile says that it is not responsible for any missed connections, period. I'm not sure if buying the ticket through Thai would guard against that, since they'd be separate PNRs and separate tickets.
Thanks!
Zack KG

3 hours are certainly enough for domestic to international transfer even flight is delayed by one hour
well responsibility for missed connections on separate tickets is a difficult topic...

Hey all
I just booked a return flight from KTM to SIN via BKK.
I can't seem to figure out what the booking class of this ticket is. I'm a member of Miles & More and would like to know if these flights make me earn some additional flying miles.
This is all the information I got..
"Flight Information Traveller groups Fare
Kathmandu Bangkok (TG 320) 1 Adult WLYRNP
Bangkok Singapore (TG 401) 1 Adult WLYRNP
Singapore Bangkok (TG 402) 1 Adult WLYRNP
Bangkok Kathmandu (TG 319) 1 Adult WLYRNP"
Thanks a lot in advance!!
Cheers

Minimum connection HKT (different pnr)
As title suggests how much time do you need between flights on separate tickets at HKT, with and without luggage? Landing 17.35 with QR and want to catch last flight out (19.10) to USM. Feasible without luggage but not without or is immigration the biggest issue (no visa needed)? Thanks guys
