Management's Q1 2015 ppt.

http://centreforaviation.com/files/a...esentation.pdf

Contains new aircraft plans:

Thai Airways outlined (27-May-2015) plans to take delivery of 19 aircraft by the end 2018:

A320: Thai Smile to receive two in 2015;
A350-900: Two in 2016, five in 2017 and five in 2018;
Boeing 777-300ER: Two in 2015;
787-8: One in 2015;
787-9: Two in 2017.

Also saw that the government, which owns 70% of AoT might sell some of their stake to fund debts in other state enterprises, perhaps including TG?

AoT: No plan for ministry to sell stake

what kind of aircraft is this? TG will run 2 or 3 classes on this aircraft?

If the Dreamliners are going 2 class it would be nice if the A350 go 3 even if it is one row of 1-2-1 in F.

THAI board approves early-retirement list, more jet sales

The airline set aside 5.5 billion baht for the voluntary retirement scheme approved by the board in April. An airline source said it had targeted 2,000 out of 25,000 staff members. The golden handshake...

TG targetted to sell 30% of its planes (42 out of some 140). It might achieve half of that.
But the early retirement plan mentions only 8% (2,000 out of 25,000).
Employees' productivity is not going to improve much! And TG is already an airline with the largest number of employyes per plane.

If United offered good packages to all FAs over 45 they'd have no staff.

Sounds like the 747s are all headed out the door?

Agreed. The (TG) packages are quite generous if I recall the details...3+ years salary, medical for life (for the whole family) and free travel (subject to some limitations and space) for life, pension credit, access to gov't loans.

THAI forming ad-hoc teams to boost business

The Nation July 22, 2015 1:00 am
Thai Airways International is developing plans to boost business during a period of global economic instability and to compensate for reduced activity in the current low season.

http://www.nationmultimedia.com/busi...-30264919.html

and more:
besides MAD, also LAX and ROM may be terminated still within this year, while MIL is still "under observation" and thanks to Expo still given another chance to survive.....

They don't need 'ad-hoc teams'. Fix the way they sell their tickets (yield control, website, etc.) and I reckon they would see an instant spike!
